BROKE DADDY MONEY

It Can Get Real.. Fast!

I get it! Money can get funny real quick. The reason I created Broke Daddy because there was a time I was broke-broke, stressing over gas money, rent, and paying bills! As a single father, I had to learn the hard way.

Below are some of the things that helped me out!

A 60/20/20 Rule. Let’s keep it simple. Break your money into three buckets:

60% — Needs.

Car. Rent or mortgage. Food. Lights. The stuff you actually need to survive. Pay this FIRST and on time so you’re giving money away on late fees

20% — Wants.

Something you had your eye on or something for the kids. Shoes. Gadgets. A date night. If you don’t have the cash don’t get. Save until you do. * Keep to a minimum until feel good about where you at with $

20% — Savings + debt.

Build a little safety net and start knocking out debt(small to large)Track it. Write it down. Use an app. Watching your numbers shows where your money’s going  and what you can do without. Start stacking!

First $1,000 for an emergency fund

Then another.

Then another.

Then another.

Don’t forget to stash a little away for birthdays and Christmas. So when December & birthdays come along it will could be less stressful and lessen the blow to your pockets.

This is just the beginning. More to come. Stay with me!. Be discipline. They’ll be a light at the end if the tunnel!
